How long does it take to get a residence card?
The waiting time for a residence card (karta pobytu) depends on the type of case and the office handling the proceedings. In our experience, in the Wielkopolska Voivodeship it is approximately 12 months in Poznań and 12–18 months at the branch offices (delegatury) of the voivodeship office.
What documents are needed for a residence card?
The required documents depend on the purpose of stay and the foreigner's individual situation. There is no single universal set of documents. At Wall Dokument we analyse every case individually and help prepare complete documentation, minimising the risk of formal deficiencies and additional requests (wezwania) from the office.
Can documents be submitted without me being present in Poland?
As a rule, a foreigner must be in Poland at the time of submitting an application for temporary residence. Submitting applications electronically via the MOS system does not remove this requirement. The law provides for exceptions, including in some family reunification cases. Legal basis: Article 99(1)(1) and Article 105(1) of the Act on Foreigners (ustawa o cudzoziemcach).
