During the consultation:

  • We analyse the foreigner's residence and employment situation.
  • We check whether the employee has the right to work legally in Poland.
  • We determine whether a work permit, a declaration or a notification is required.
  • We explain the employer's obligations related to employing foreigners.
  • We advise on changes of employer, position or employment conditions.
  • We suggest possible solutions if there are problems with the documentation.

How does the consultation work?

  1. You book a time — by phone, WhatsApp or the contact form.

  2. We meet online or at our office in Poznań.

  3. We analyse the situation of the foreigner and your company.

  4. You get a recommendation: which procedure is needed and what the next steps are. You can then hand the case over to us.

Who is it for?

For business owners, HR departments, employment agencies and entrepreneurs who want to employ foreigners correctly and in line with the law.

How long does it take?

A consultation usually takes 1–1.5 hours. A short online consultation — up to 10 minutes — is free of charge.

How long does it take to get a work permit?

The waiting time depends on the competent voivodeship office, the completeness of the documentation and the circumstances of the case. Under the general rules of administrative procedure, cases should, as a rule, be dealt with within one month, and particularly complex ones within two months. In practice, the proceedings may take longer.

Do I need a new work permit after a change of position?

It depends on the nature of the change. If only the job title changes but the duties remain the same, a new permit is, as a rule, not required. If the foreigner is to do different work or the scope of their duties changes significantly, a new permit is usually required.

When does a management board member need a type B work permit?

Among other cases, when the foreigner is a member of the management board of a company registered in the KRS (National Court Register), manages the affairs of or represents a limited partnership or a limited joint-stock partnership, or acts as a commercial proxy (prokurent). The obligation depends, among other things, on how long the function is performed and on the foreigner's individual situation.

Who can be employed on the basis of a declaration (oświadczenie)?

The declaration on entrusting work (oświadczenie o powierzeniu wykonywania pracy) applies to citizens of Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Armenia. It can be entered in the register for a period of up to 24 months and applies to non-seasonal work. The foreigner must have a valid basis for legal residence in Poland.

Declaration (oświadczenie) →

What is the deadline for submitting a notification (powiadomienie) of entrusting work to a Ukrainian citizen?

As a rule, the employer submits the notification electronically via praca.gov.pl within 7 days of the start of work. A notification may also be required when the position, type of contract, pay or working hours change.

Notification (powiadomienie) →

What is the difference between a declaration (oświadczenie) and a notification (powiadomienie)?

The declaration is a simplified procedure for citizens of Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Armenia, entered in the register for a period of up to 24 months. The notification is an electronic report of employment, used primarily for Ukrainian citizens entitled to work on this basis.
